163-20181 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 Gl,�y of Boca Rai Incorporated -1'92 5 RESOLUTION 163-2018 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOCA RATON CONSIDERING ADOPTION OF A SCHEDULE OF MINIMUM CIVIL PENALTIES APPLICABLE TO VIOLATIONS OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES ENFORCED BY THE ISSUANCE OF CITATIONS DIRECTLY TO INDIVIDUALS PURSUANT TO SECTION 9-60, "SUPPLEMENTAL CODE ENFORCEMENT PROCEDURES," CODE OF ORDINANCES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY,- PROVIDING EVERABILITY;PROVIDING FOR REPEALER; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE Final WHEREAS, Section 9-60, Code of Ordinances, authorizes the issuance of citations by code enforcement officers directly to individuals for violations of certain provisions of the Code of Ordinances expressly set forth in Section 9-60(2), Code of Ordinances; and WHEREAS, Section 9-60(6)(d), Code of Ordinances, provides that the minimum civil penalties for violations of the Code of Ordinances enforced pursuant to Section 9-60, Code of Ordinances, shall be established by the City Council by resolution; now therefore 1 2 3 RATON: 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOCA Section 1. The City Council hereby adopts the "Schedule of Minimum Civil Penalties for Violations Enforced Pursuant to Section 9-60, Code of Ordinances," attached hereto as Exhibit "A." Section 2. If any section, subsection, clause or provision of this resolution is held invalid, the remainder shall not be affected by such invalidity. Section 3. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith shall be and hereby are repealed. Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
